Installing VPython on the Macintosh |

The current state of VPython on various operating systems, according to our tests, is:

| OS 9.1 | Old, limited version. It is necessary to run ConfigurePythonClassic before running VPython. |
| OS 9.2 | We have not tried this. |
| OS 10.X |
This is the version currently supported. Carbon version not yet available (there is a carbon version of Python, but not yet a carbon version of Visual). Classic version does not run correctly. VPython comes up but graphics do not work correctly. |
Installation of VPython on the Mac involves a number of steps. Read the Installation Instructions below (you may wish to print a copy for reference during the installation).
Download VPythonMac-2001-08-29.sit.hqx
Note: This Macintosh release currently lacks an integrated edit/run development environment (IDLE on Windows).
